Gallery St. John News Notes: September 2006

BRO. JOE BARRISH

Joe was invited by the Dayton Philharmonic to display one of his Kettering Tower. Joe's show, entitled “Dayton and Beyond” is currently displayed at Gallery Saint John. Scenes from Dayton and environs and paintings from the Southwest are featured. The show runs through November 24. The first 10 people coming from the Mount St. John property will receive a new $500 bill!

 

BRO. JOHN LEMKER

Brother John Lemker left Dayton on September 16 to travel the Southwest photographing landscapes and nature subjects. John is hoping the weather is favorable especially in Colorado.

 

BRO. DON SMITH

Don has just finished a colored pencil drawing of Blessed Fr. Chaminade instructing a group of Sodalists. This work was commissioned by NACMS as a cover for a publication that is in process. Work continues to progress on the crucifixion scene for Bergamo's chapel. While working on these projects, Don continues to put together items for the Dayton Visual Arts Center's "Art to Buy" show; a Christmas gift sales event which takes place during November and December.

 

BRO. CHARLIE WANDA

Charlie continues to complete works and is in the process of framing others for the “Dynamic Duo” exhibit before leaving for Italy.
