Province Task Force on Aging with Grace

The Province task force on Aging with Grace is established for a renewable, three-year period to help formulate a healthy spirituality regarding aging and to establish policies and programs for members moving toward part time ministry, for members adjusting to health and energy levels, and for members making the transition from active communities to assisted living.

This task force reports to the Office of the Provincial and its activities are included in that portion of the Province budget.

The task force is charged with:

  • Providing members with written and video materials and ongoing education and educational opportunities that foster a healthy spirituality of aging.
  • Fostering in the middle aged members of the Province reflection on the next stages of life, the ministry they are called to, and the resources necessary for preparation.
  • Fostering education, conversation, and dialogue with communities for members no longer capable of full time ministry.
  • Assisting the Provincial Council regarding placement of individuals who are moving from full to part time ministry.
  • Establishing policies and educating directors and communities about the transition from active community life to assisted living or other needed health care.
  • Alerting the Provincial Council to specific needs in the Province in this area that might call for workshops, specific retreat focuses, and the like.
